SweetSugarBelle Inspired Cookie Shop by Tricia-Rennea
I’ve been so excited to share this, but it had to be put on hold for a bit while I got my server issues worked out. But now, I’m back on track, and here it is. I hope your family enjoys it as much as mine has!
My kids love to help me make cookies, but every once in a while {or maybe more often than that} my little helpers can get in the way. That’s why I got so excited when I ran across these printables. I immediately emailed Tricia-Rennea and asked if she would be interested in collaborating with me on a new set based on my cookies. I couldn’t be more pleased with what she came up with.
The best part is that my kiddos love them even more. They play cookie shop for hours. While they are having fun, and I get a little down time too. We had to add a few heavier items such as a cake stand and cookie sheet because of the wind, but that made it all the more fun. Before I knew it, we’d moved up to a mixing bowl and an oven. It was an all day treat.
There was rolling…
and mixing,
and a little decorating. The girls made sure everyone worked.
They played and played
and did even more decorating.
Boys got oven duty
and a few lessons when needed.
But most of all, they had lots of fun.
I even discovered a cookie decorator in the making. Something tells me she’s going to be GOOD!
Aside from the paper eating boy, it was a perfect day!
I love it that, when they are finished, we put them in a little box, and the next day do it again. This set comes with the cutest extras like a cakestand, spatula, cookie sheet, and menu board, but the wind kept taking ours away. However, you can get the whole set by visiting Trillistrations and requesting your set.
The cutting is good practice for school {I had to help a little} and they’ve played away many hours making cookies just like mom. In addition to cookies, Tricia also offers pizza, breakfast and a barbeque dinner! I cannot wait to see what’s next! Thank you, Tricia, for many fun days, I hope to do it again soon.
This is an ingenious idea! Great way to encourage imaginative playtime. Your photos of the kids are gorgeous and I love your baking oven!
So super cute!! It sure looks like the kids were having fun!
Callye, these pictures are ADORABLE!! ANd how fun is that?! When I was a girl, paper dolls were one of my very favorite things.
LOVE this idea Callye and how adorable are those kiddos! 🙂
I am dying for you to make Halloween cookies I need instuctions for the Wilton Vampire teeth.,and the shading between the teeth.
Your kids are gorgeous! Did they get dressed up especially for this photo shoot?
And the oven! LOVE IT!
Nothing beats ‘pretend’, does it?
Beautiful job, once again, Callye.
Those were pretty great photos up there! Looks like the kids were having a great time on their cookie shop. What a great idea for a different and fun playtime for kids, sure moms would want that activity for their kids.
OMG the cutest thing ever!
i read the whole post and i was so excited. i thought wow thats great my girls would love to make these cookies. i am a pastry chef and they love to copy me but i don’t ever get to decorate cookies. so this is a win win situation for us. they get to ” bake and decorate ” and i don’t have to wash any more dishes. then i read you comment about the paper eating boy. some people might have been shocked. well not me i have a paper eating boy also. except mine is 11 years old. yes 11 years old. you would think it was freakin bubble gum lol. anyway i just figured i would let you know that you are not alone.
Loved the colorful shots of the children!!! Looks like they had a blast!!! 😉
I love this idea!
(I also love that heart watch, gah, WANT IT!)
Wow, your children are precious! And I love seeing imaginations at work. 🙂
This is such a great idea! And I love your play oven. Looks like they had a great time “helping”.
This article aceeivhd exactly what I wanted it to achieve.
I often miss my little boys being little, letting their imaginations sweep them up in something as simple as cardboard cutouts and boxes. To them they became the world of wonders. Anywhere their minds could take them.
this is simply priceless!
Clear, invtfmaoire, simple. Could I send you some e-hugs?
Soooo adorable. I think I would have fun with those myself – much less clean-up!
Thanks for writing such a wonderful post. This gift basket store’s specialties are lovely cookies in bouquets! Indeed a nice post
