Fun Friday Finds: Paula Deen Cookie Stencils
The only thing I like MORE than shopping, is finding something cool when I’m shopping. I was browsing my favorite crafts store a few weeks back, and I happened upon these babies. Do you know what they are?
They’re Paula Deen cookie/cupcake stencils! The best part is, they only cost a dollar!!
I think my favorite was the cherries.
I used it to make these. I did my own thing with the stems and leaves, but having the cherries pre-drawn really helped.
For more ideas on how to use stencils to make cookies like these, check out this cool video or the picture version. Either one is a very good example of how to get Kopy Kake results with stencils like this.
I made these cookies for a friend of mine! Pretty AND easy.
So, if you’re headed out today, be sure to cruise on by Michael’s and get a few of these. You’ll be glad you did.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone…see you back here soon!
I love these. So sweet! I’m going to your shop and seeing if you ship to Canada.
Have a great day! xoxo
okay, am I being blind, but I don’t see a link to a shop anywhere……? help.
This is so sweet and charming ! Check out : http://nothinlasts.blogspot.com
Those cherry cookies look so sweet! I really like the stencils with the cupcake, butterfly and the one with the hummingbird.
Your outlines are always so nice and fine….what size piping tip do you use?
Well thank you for posting this! I saw something like this in Duff brand before and honestly didn’t know what they were for. All I could think of is putting it on top of something and using the food color spray. The use you show is a lot better and great for people like me that can’t draw! I have been trying to stay away from Michaels for a bit, that store is like a bar for a sweet-a-holic with ideas, but I may have to stop in and see if they have these stencils!
I can’t wait to try them out – and you certainly can’t beat the price! Thank you Paula Deen!
How lovely! Retro cherry cookie 😉
too cute. Love your site by the way. Nice clean layout. And your cookies are beautiful.
I think I saw one that said SWEET, I will have to have that for sure. Michaels has really jumped on the food crafter craze, kudos to them, and LOVE those coupons!
Beautiful Cherry Cookies!
I Love Paula Deen, I am sooooooooooo hoping that I can find some of these at Micheal’s
How funny! I found those last week and picked up the yellow and red ones. I didn’t see the cute cherries. I’ll have to go back and look for those. At my michaels, they were in the clearance aisles.
I love these Callye. I think you read my mind because I wanted to send some cherry cookies to a friend and didn’t want the actual cherry shape to break in the mail so I was thinking this very idea so I could put them on a sturdy shape. I will definitely see if I could find this stencil. Thanks so much for the tip!
You have to send these to Paula you really took the stencil to another level beautiful!
I LOOOVE that yellow border with the inside dots. You are so creative.
Any hint as to which store? Is it that one with the rhyming name or the one that could be a boy’s name or some other one?
I found them at good ol’ Michaels. 🙂
Thanks for passing on your great find! Your cherry cookies are BEAUTIFUL! Such a pretty combination of colors~the cherries just pop!
Like you NEED a stencil!! 🙂 Thanks for sharing this with those of us who DO need a stencil!
you have totally enlightened me. i saw these at michaels a few weeks back, and it never crossed my mind to use them as templates for cookies! thanks.
I saw these at Michael’s when I was back home in the states last week and only bought the red pack. Now that I’ve seen your adorable cherry cookies, I wish I had bought all of them too!
Great post.. After reading your blog post.. I went straight to Michaels and got myself a few =D Can’t wait to try them

luvies………….and so cheap too! Win Win
I saw those stencils and said to myself, “yeah sure, now just show us how to use them”. Stencils and I are not friends – at all. Then I scrolled down and saw your gorgeous cherries and I laughed out loud. You make everything look so impossibly easy and so gorgeous. Then I clicked on your link of when you showed us how to use the stencils and remembered that you draw inside the stencil. That is do-able. I forgot all about that. I have a bunch of stencils that are sitting in a cupboard so that I don’t take scissors and cut them up because they just don’t work for me. You reminded me that stencils and I can learn to be friends… 😉 Thanks Callye!
Were they clearanced? I did see them on Michael’s website but no price. On Food Network’s website they sale for $4.95 per set
Mine weren’t on clearance, just in the dollar bin.
O woww!! these love absolutely flawless!
Thanks for sharing! <3
Thanks for sharing another great design. The polka dot border is beautiful and the yellow with the cherries has a real retro look. I found these at Michael’s in one of the big bins outside the store. Reduced from 1.00 to .60 and with a 20% coupon, I paid .48. The cashier said Paula’s cooking supplies are being discontinued.
These are great! I am going to have to be making a trip to Michael’s today! I can’t believe they were only a dollar! Cherries are definitely my fav.
Love your cherry cookies! Cherries are such a happy fruit, makes me smile every time I see them, weather done with icing or IRL LOL
The cookies look absolutely great, like everything you do 🙂
It’s so sad that you cannot buy this stencils in Germany…
SO CUTE!! I bought these stencils a week or so ago and NOW I know what I need to do with them. Adorable! (for those wondering, I found them at Michaels in the dollar section)
Thanks for posting this! I’m sure mine will not look nearly as great as yours, but I’m excited to try the stencils. Love all your work!
Can you make a tutorial for us rookies for those little dots? Mine are always pointy!
These are some of my favorites that you have done!! I always say that, don’t I?? How did you do the white and yellow? I tried that the other day (traced around a circle w/ edible marker) but mine were not nearly as perfect as yours.
So beautiful! Thanks for this post.
I picked these up today at Michaels, thanks to you for sharing! And even better…they were on sale for $.60 per package. Yay!
