Evan’s Great Idea {Spiderman Valentine’s Day Hearts}
I thought this would be a good week for Valentine cookie projects perfect for the kids.
I would like to take credit for these cookies, but I really can’t. They were actually my little boy’s idea.
Last year around this time, I had a special Valentine’s Day project in mind for his class, so I asked him what kind of cookie he’d like to take to school. I was thinking lips or hearts…something along those lines. However, as usual, ol’ Evan was on a whole different wavelength than me. He wanted Spiderman…
At first I tried to talk him out of it, desperately explaining that Spiderman didn’t look very much like a Valentine’s Day Cookie. I had been bitten by the Valentine bug and was absolutely NOT in the mood for boy stuff.
Then, suddenly, it hit me! There was a way to please us both. With a little bit of adjustment, I could have my hearts, and Ev could have Spidey!
Love it! I need to get me some edible markers!
YOU ARE BRILLIANT!!!!!!

These are awesome! I wanted to let Debra know that I found a different brand of edible markers at JoAnn's Fabric/craft store.
Wow… these are fantastic!! I was never good at taking a basic shape and making something interesting with it. This just shows how creative and talented you are!!
The cookies look wonderful, and I've spent entirely too many hours digging through your blog, looking at all the goodies. It cheers me up when I'm down! Thanks so much for sharing!
OR debra, you can do wet on wet with the web. Just sayin'.
Just wanted to tell you thank you for your sweet comment. My dad is home and doing better!
what a great "boy" cookie for Valentine's day!!! LOVE it!
This is so cool i love it!And the slide show is cool but is there a way to print out the pictures so I can see what to do in the kitchen?
I am so sorry, I don't, but I slowed the slides down a bit, and I have a suggestion. I would draw out six or seven hearts (however many steps there were), and draw each step as a reference =) Hope this helps!
These are fantastic. I love heart shape on these.
This a great cookie design. So cool.
oh my goodness. So cute

I so need to make these for my spidey loving nefew!! Thanks for the cookie show.
These are great! As a mom to a little boy, I love to find ideas like this that aren’t so girlie. Love the slideshow, too!!

These are awesome and will be so easy. My 5-year-old will be thrilled. Susan (#33). I bought edible markers at Michaels and I’ve seen them at cake supply stores, too. I love them!
Those are awesome! My five year old is psyched to take them to class this Friday for Valentine’s Day. He did all the flood icing himself, after I did the outlines. Tomorrow I’ll have him do the eyes. 🙂
I’m featuring these cookies on my blog post today. 🙂
thank you! I just made my boyfriend the best valentines day present thanks to this tutorial 🙂

Thanks for all your wonderful tutorials, which made the process easy as can be for a beginner like me.
